Invasions are large scale events that occur on Ateraan. In this
particular event the Warlord of the Southland wanted a tribute
of 10 virgin females from the Kingdom. The Kingdom refused and
several merchants were captured by Orc infiltrators.

The upper level is more lighted than below. Strange glowing orbs attached to
the walls light the halls. The walls and floor are smooth black, lacking the
old style of those below and looking more like polished marble.

splintering block of wood has been impaled on a stake, making for a crude sign.

you journey on. To the west, you hear the clatter of wheels and the murmur of
voices from the nearby city of Gahlen, its tall city gates silhouetted against
the westward horizon. This road leads straight into the distance, winding at a
distant curve.

The Gahlen Tavern is bright and filled with tables and smells of ale and
foods. The Merchant Guild has purchased the tavern and hires the bartender to
manage the sale of food and drinks. A bar is along the wall with stools and
chairs surrounded the tables. A storage room is up the stairs and a gaming
lounge is downstairs. Several private recesses for conversation are available
out one of the doors leading north, east, and south as shown:

Three Maniacal raiders.
This raider is strange to behold as his entire body is covered in tattoos. His
teeth are filed to sharp points and he has piercings in his lips, nose, ears,
and eyebrows. He has a crazed look in his eyes and you know he is on heavy drug
induced chemicals as he stares with maniacal focus. His body is abnormally
muscled almost making him appear as a lean troll and his skin is tinged an odd
gold as it glows from some form of mystical enhancement. He wears no armour and
carries no weapons as his fingers are imbedded with long nails at the tips that
have been sharpened to needle points. His arms and legs also have imbedded nails
so his attacks are fearsome and deadly.
He is in perfect condition.

You see a male nymph,
Tall and lithe, this nymph appears to be either nearing or just at six foot
tall, his high cheek bones and angular face are the first striking things to be
noticed. As if being sculpted to guide the attention of your gaze towards his
eyes, the electrifying blue orbs that make up his iris have a piercing and
deeply intelligent gaze that takes in all of his surroundings. As he moves
around, seeming to almost always be shifting in some way, the wings that are
curled and tucked tightly to his back can be seen. Thick arms extend from his
back just between his shoulder blades, a few light blue scales along the soft
skin before the thick cobalt membrane spreads out below and between the dactyl
fingers of the wings. His light almond skin seems to occasionally take on a
blue tint in certain lighting or certain angles, though his long waist length
hair is unapologetically nacreous as it drifts between chromatic shades.

This area is a small clearing with two tents that are held up with numerous
poles. Both tents are closed and you can't tell what may be in them, and it
doesn't appear there is a way to enter them. A large metal lever is in the
ground near the tent.
Obvious exits: north and south.

shelter there. The city is under attack, and the streets are
not safe until the all-clear is called.
